Questions?
Here are some of the most common questions I get about working together.

I provide online therapy to adults located in California. I currently offer telehealth sessions only, so you can meet with me from the privacy and comfort of your own space.

Online therapy allows us to meet through a secure video platform from the comfort of your own private space. You'll need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and a quiet place where you can talk privately.
Before your first session, I'll provide the information you need to get connected. Once we meet, online therapy looks a lot like traditional therapy—we'll talk, get to know each other, and work together on what brought you to therapy.
I want you to feel comfortable with the process, so if you have questions about telehealth before getting started, we can talk about them during your consultation.

No. I currently provide online therapy only, which allows me to work with clients through a convenient and flexible telehealth format.

My private-pay rate is $185 per 53-minute individual therapy session.
I currently accept Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Oxford, Providence Health Plan, and UnitedHealthcare (Optum).
If you're using insurance, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your specific plan, benefits, deductible, copay, and/or coinsurance. Insurance coverage is determined by your insurance company, so I recommend verifying your benefits before beginning therapy.
If you're unsure whether your specific plan is accepted or have questions about your options, we can discuss them during your free consultation.

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. I'll ask questions about what's been going on, your history, and what you'd like help with. We'll also talk about what you hope to get out of therapy and begin thinking together about where to go from there.

There isn't a set amount of time you need to be in therapy. Everyone's needs and goals are different. Some people come to therapy for a specific concern and need only a few months of support, while others find that longer-term therapy is helpful.
We'll regularly check in about how things are going and whether therapy is still meeting your needs. My goal is to help you make meaningful progress—not to keep you in therapy longer than you need or want to be.
